We are glad to announce that there is a new therapist practicing at the centre.
Matina Karastatira (pictured) is a qualified music therapist since 2008 and is able to offer low cost individual therapy sessions using the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (BMGIM) as an advanced trainee in that particular method. During the therapy Matina creates a secure and confidential environment where difficult feelings or memories that may emerge are processed in a secure and safe way using a psychodynamic and creative approach. Matina is registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and she is a member of the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT), the European Association of Music and Imagery (EAMI), the Music and Imagery Association of UK and Ireland (MAIA), and the Association of Music and Imagery (AMI) and she abides by the Code of Ethical Practice of these organisations.
